3 Ingredient Sourdough Crackers
If you’re like me, you’re the girl in the grocery store (or ordering online) picking up every packaged food item to read the ingredients, only to put it back because it doesn’t pass the test. Meaning, it’s usually full of ingredients that I can’t pronounce, that aren’t real, and I will not be feeding my family ;).
That’s why I’m so pumped about these 3 ingredient crackers that we all love. They are super easy to make, and they make a really great snack for after school, after sports, or really, anytime.
Ingredients:
200 grams sourdough discard (I usually feed my starter in the morning, and then use the discard to make these quick)
50 grams grass fed butter
Sea salt
Directions:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, melt butter, and then let it cool for 1-2 minutes.
In a medium bowl, mix sourdough discard and the melted butter. A whisk usually works better than a spoon.
Pour mixture onto the parchment paper, and use a flat spatula to spread evenly. Thinner is better so the crackers bake evenly.
Sprinkle with sea salt. Or you can use other seasonings if you’d like.
Bake for about 22 minutes or until the crackers start to get golden. You may see them brown on the edges more, and that is ok. We actually like the crispy edges.
Remove from oven, transfer the parchment paper to a cutting surface, and cut into squares.
Enjoy! We like these as is, or dip them in hummus or homemade guacamole.
