Welcome

If you’ve been following my work long enough, you might know bits and pieces of my story. If not, I’ll quickly share some highlights so we can get to the good stuff!

  • 2009 - I started this creative journey as a wedding and portrait photographer, and I had the privilege to shoot countless weddings and portraits for incredible couples and families. Lots of travel happened during these days.

  • 2013 - I felt a nudge to slowly step away from wedding photography, and start a wellness and lifestyle blog (what!?). Some of you might remember… it was called The Heirloom Blog. That’s really what stirred a desire for health and wellness that I’ve been exploring since that time.

  • 2014 - I took a detour and opened a women’s clothing boutique with a friend. She still owns it today… it’s called Sunday Supply Co.

  • 2015 - Instead of owning a boutique, I began photographing for other brands and boutiques, which opened really fun doors to home, lifestyle, and wellness brands that I’m really passionate about.

  • 2016 - We sold our house in Fort Collins, packed up a u-haul with my husband and 6-month-old at the time, and moved to Waco, TX to work for Magnolia.

  • 2016 - After a month of living in a hotel in Waco because we couldn’t find a house to rent or buy, realizing Magnolia and Chip and Joanna are really great, but the job wasn’t where I was supposed to be, we packed up again and moved back to Fort Collins, CO.

  • 2016 - 2020 - I was still traveling and photographing for lifestyle brands, interior designers, and builders, and these were also the years when my husband I were raising our two boys. Those early toddler years are no joke, but they are the biggest blessing I could have ever imagined, and the reason why I am passionate about wellness for the whole family.

  • 2020 - The world shut down. All of my clients were closed, and I wasn’t booking any jobs. What a wild time! By the end of the summer and feeling the uncertainty of when I would have a job again, I decided to start a corporate gifting company, now called Pennymade, out of a personal and professional need that my husband and I have always had. We’ve been cultivating and growing that business for the last 4+ years.

  • 2025 - What a ride it’s been! In an interesting way, all of these experiences - exposure to lifestyle brands, products, travel, and starting a family - stirred a desire in me for wellness in my home and in my body, and an even deeper desire to share that knowledge with you.

So with that said, I am so thrilled to use this space to share intentional, valuable, and beautiful content that inspires wellness for your whole family. I know there is a lot of noise and information out there, and I’m not an expert at everything, but my hope is that this can be a space of encouragement, knowledge, and resources from personal experience that will help you create a home and a life that you look forward to. I’m happy to invite you along for the ride!
